The Bull House ~ 36"x 48", acrylic on canvas, Dawn Langstroth ©2017
"This is a Bull that I saw on The Kolbec Road in Nova Scotia on a photo-taking trip with my Dad. I asked him to pull the car over when he told me in passing that the cows and bulls were actually LIVING inside of this former residence. When I got out of the car, this Charolais bull turned toward me and stared me down. I was firmly put in my place."

"I was commissioned in 2012 to do a painting of this Ontario home and I was thrilled that the photos provided by my client were of the house during Autumn! The most fun part for me was painting in the vibrant orange and bright green that appeared to practically bounce off of the canvas. I visited this home only once, but the visit has remained with me not only because the people who invited me are sweet, fun and kind, but because I felt their warm welcome while I painted."

]]>On a recent trip to Cape Breton, we stopped in Cheticamp, a haven for art and craftspeople. I could barely believe my eyes when I came upon this house on the main street. I love vintage bicycles."
